Getting into the Christmas Spirit in Clarence

Getting into the Christmas Spirit in Clarence

For many of us Christmas is an exciting and special time to celebrate with friends and family, but for people experiencing hardship and isolation it can be a particularly tough and lonely time of year.

This Christmas Day, Council is partnering with the community and services to provide a free Christmas Brunch at the Howrah Community Centre for people on the Eastern Shore who find Christmas time challenging and isolating.

We want to give the gift of a special Christmas brunch but we need your help.

We’re calling for volunteers to donate their time and talents to creating a Christmas celebration event which will bring people together and create treasured memories.

If you’re a chef, bus driver, musician or entertainer, we need you.

If you’re a business owner who could help by donating food and drinks for the event, we need you.

If you would like to help out in some other way we would love to hear from you too.

If you’re interested in contributing to the event, or would like more information, please contact either Suzanne on sschulz@ccc.tas.gov.au / 6217 9599, or Brooke on brookev0@utas.edu.au / 6217 9725.

Help us share the joy and spirit of Christmas with people who are doing it to create a memorable Christmas.
