IMPORTANT NOTICE

For enquiries about sports ground closures please note: if grounds have not been closed by council, and the weather deteriorates, the decision to play or not will remain with the umpires/clubs/associations. However, the club should be aware if the ground is damaged by play going ahead there is a possibility it will be closed for training during the week/s following.

1 November 2021 – Following closures last Friday due to heavy rainfall, the section of the Clarence Foreshore Trail and middle section of Howrah Beach are now open.

However, the adjoining tracks into the Wentworth Play Park, and the play park itself, remain closed today.

TasWater is on site, so we ask pedestrians and cyclists to please stay clear of workers as they clean the site throughout the day.

29 October 2021 3pm – Due to flooding and potential contamination, a section of the Clarence Foreshore Trail, Wentworth Play Park and the middle section of Howrah Beach is now closed for safety reasons.

We expect these areas will likely remain closed until early next week.

The below map illustrates the affected areas and detour in place for pedestrians and cyclists.

Please adhere to all signage and stay safe.
