Council Meetings

Public Attendance

Members of the public will now be able to attend the meetings subject to compliance with State Government COVID-19 regulations.  Due to maximum density limits associated with COVID-19, we are only able to accommodate a maximum of 12 people in the public gallery.

Registration will open on the Thursday before the meeting.  Only members of the public who have registered for the meeting will be able to attend.  On the evening of the meeting doors will open at 6.40 pm with attendance required by no later than 6.50pm to allow time for check in and seating of attendees prior to commencement of the meeting.  If you have registered but no longer wish to attend please advise our Customer Contact Team prior to the meeting.

Deputations/Public Questions

As no in person attendance is possible, deputations and Public Questions without Notice are to be provided in writing to be read out during the relevant section of the meeting agenda.

If you wish to make a deputation, please contact the Corporate Support Team on 6217 9523 or 62179524 by noon on the Friday prior to a council meeting.

Questions on Notice are to be submitted in accordance with council’s Public Question Time procedures.

Public questions without notice proposed to be presented to a meeting are to be provided in writing to clarence@ccc.tas.gov.au by 4 pm on the day of the meeting. These will be read out during the relevant section of the agenda.

 

Viewing the Council Meeting

Meetings will be livestreamed via a link on council’s Facebook page and website and an audio-visual recording will be published to council’s website after each meeting.

The Agenda will be available here, on the Thursday before the meeting.
