Clarence City Council participated in two feasibility studies – a South East Councils Feasibility Study proposing possible merger options with Sorell, Tasman and Glamorgan Spring Bay councils, and a Greater Hobart Feasibility Study proposing possible merger options with Hobart, Glenorchy and Kingborough councils.

From late September, residents and ratepayers will receive an information booklet and survey form in the mail. The information booklet will include information on all options and the pros and cons for each option. Residents and ratepayers can indicate on the survey form, their preference for a possible amalgamation or no amalgamation at all.

If you do not receive the information booklet or survey in the mail, or would like to request an additional survey, please phone Council on 6217 9500 or email Clarence@ccc.tas.gov.au.

The community survey will close on Friday 24 November 2017.

The feedback from the survey will be presented to Council for further consideration in early 2018.
