IRONMAN 70.3 Tasmania is coming to Hobart on Sunday 4 February 2024. This inaugural IRONMAN event for Tassie features the first ever completely indoor swim to bike and bike to run transition, in Princes Wharf No.1.

The event starts with a swim in the River Derwent from Brooke Street Pier, followed by a testing bike course delivering the most vertical gain of any IRONMAN 70.3 race in Oceania. The run heads up along the Derwent towards Cornelian Bay, before returning to the famous red carpet and finish line.

IRONMAN 70.3 Tasmania 2024 will involve Changed Traffic Conditions in Clarence, Hobart and Glenorchy between 3:am and 12.30pm on the day. Roads will be closed inside and around the course to ensure the safety of spectators, athletes and residents, and to facilitate the smooth running of the event. There are also some roads with changed traffic conditions in place at the same times.

If you live along the course or your residence is inside the course footprint, it is strongly recommended that you look at the road closure information and park on streets where access will be maintained the night before competition.

Please visit the Ironman Local Access website www.ironman.com/im703-tasmania-local-access to read the details of these changed traffic conditions during the event to ensure you are aware of alternative routes in place for you to access these areas and safely cross the course if necessary.
