Notice of Intention to Sell Land - Section 137 Local Government Act 1993

The Clarence City Council has resolved its intention to sell the land specified below to recover rates outstanding on the land for a period of 3 years or more.

Notice is given that if the amount of rates outstanding in respect to the land is not paid in full within ninety (90) days of the date of this notice, the Clarence City Council intends to sell the land for non-payment of rates.

The Owner is also responsible for payment of any penalty and interest arising from the outstanding rates and the council’s costs incurred in taking action under section 137 of the Local Government Act 1993.

Council will only accept enquiries regarding the land from the owner of the land or persons who have a legal interest in the land.
