Strategic plan

Our Strategic Plan 2025–2035 sets the long-term direction for the City of Clarence. It outlines our priorities, goals and actions to support a thriving, liveable and sustainable community over the next decade.

The plan is guided by four focus areas:

  • Community Wellbeing – supporting a healthy, inclusive and connected community
  • Sustainable Growth – balancing development, infrastructure and environmental responsibility
  • Culture and Place – celebrating our identity, heritage, creativity and distinctive places
  • Strategy and Delivery – providing strong leadership, governance and responsible service delivery

These pillars guide decisions, investment and services to help Clarence thrive now and into the future.

Each year, the priorities in the Strategic Plan are translated into specific actions through our Annual Plan. Progress is then tracked and reported to the community through quarterly reports, ensuring transparency and accountability in how we deliver on the plan.

Annual Plan

The strategic plan impacts the preparation of our Annual Plan and budget each year. The Annual Plan identifies the services, projects and programs to be conducted in a given year and these are derived from the strategic plan.

We report on our achievements and progress in the plan through the Annual Report and quarterly reports to council.
