use this form to apply to have a school picnic on council land. Completing this form is the first step to applying for a permit to hold a school picnic on council land – a minimum of eight weeks notice is required.

    COVID-19 safety plan

    Noting the current provisions of State Government we no longer require event organisers to submit a COVID-19 Safety Plan. As per State Government advice, event organisers are encouraged to follow best practice guidance to manage COVID-19 safely. This does not include music festivals with 2,001 or more patrons or large events with 5,001 or more patrons. Event organisers will still be required to submit a COVID-19 Safety Plan.       Terms and conditions

      Terms & Conditions for permits & licences issued by council for events under council’s Public Places By-law 2018: • The permit is not assignable or transferable. • The permit holder must comply with all requirements, notices and directions given to the permit holder by council or any public or statutory authority and must comply with all acts, regulations, by-laws, codes and all Australian standards applicable to the land or premises which are the subject of the permit. • The permit may be cancelled by council if the permit holder fails to observe or comply with the terms and conditions of the permit. • The permit holder agrees to indemnify, and keep indemnified, and to hold harmless council, its servants and agents, and each of them from and against all actions, costs, claims, charges, expenses and damages whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against them arising out of, or in relation to the permit. • If the event is on council land, the permit holder is to have, during the term of the permit, a public liability insurance policy in a form approved by council, of a sum not less than twenty million dollars ($20M or more) in respect of the land or premises.
