Following Councillor Daniel Hulme’s Notice of Motion successfully carried on 26 May 2025, council made an application for assessed disclosure under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Tas.) for all information related to the assessments for the AFL/AFLW High Performance Centre.
Cr Hulme moved the following motion:
“That Council authorises the CEO to:
- Make an application under the Right to Information Act 2009 for all information related to the assessments of both the proposed Kingston and Rosny sites for the Tasmania Football Club’s training and administration facility (High Performance Centre);
- Otherwise take all necessary action to make an application under the Right to Information Act 2009;
- Release the documents to the public should information be released under the application; and
- Compile and release all documentation provided by Clarence City Council (CCC) to the Department of State Growth associated with an AFL high performance centre in Rosny from the CCC Meeting of 11 December 2023 until 31 December 2024”.
Council is waiting on a decision from the Department of State Growth.

Two documents have been withheld:
- Aboriginal Heritage Values – site information for Aboriginal heritage is not publicly released under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1975 (Tas.) because it is sensitive information.
- Document containing threatened species locations – not released due to potential impact on natural values if made public.
