The City of Clarence Audit Panel has been in operation since 2004 to assist in the effective conduct of Council’s responsibilities for financial reporting, management of risk, and maintaining reliable systems of internal control.

The Panel comprises three independent persons and two elected members. Independent member appointments are for four-year terms with a provision for further four-year term up to a maximum of eight years. On average, the Panel meets on four occasions throughout the year. A sitting fee of $5,175.92 per annum is provided.

A vacancy exists for an independent member of the Audit Panel and expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified persons available to fill the vacancy.

Persons with senior business, local government, industry or financial management reporting knowledge and experience are invited to apply. Expressions of Interest should include an outline of qualifications, skills and experience that would be brought to the role, including an outline of prior experience in respect of corporate governance.
