Clarence City Council Mayor Brendan Blomeley has welcomed today’s announcement of Council receiving funding for three exciting projects through the Tasmanian Government’s Open Space Grant Program.

Council will receive funding for upgrades to Clarence Mountain Bike Park Trail Hub, the creation of disc golf course at Seven Mile Beach, and upgrades to Bayview Park and Playground at Lauderdale.

“Clarence is known for our array of fantastic open space and wonderful parks, and this grant will allow Council to deliver more recreational options for the community, allowing for more people to enjoy the outdoors,” Mayor Blomeley said.

“Council has worked hard to deliver a number of upgrades to outdoor spaces, most recently Pindos Park at Tranmere and Blossom Park at Cambridge.
“We know how valued and love these spaces are for our community and we look forward to being able to deliver more for Clarence residents.”
