The University of Tasmania owns the Mt Pleasant Radio Telescope Observatory and Grote Reber Museum.

Tours are available by appointment only and includes viewing the observatory and a close-up look at the ‘big dish’ and control room, the Grote Reber Museum and viewing of mini movies in the virtual reality theatre.
