The Tasmanian Department of Health has issued a health alert advising people not to eat wild shellfish collected from Pipe Clay Lagoon.

This alert is in response to elevated levels of biotoxins detected in shellfish from the area. Recreationally harvested shellfish from Pipe Clay Lagoon may be unsafe to eat and could cause serious illness.
