This free initiative could help your household save up to $70 in disposal costs.
We’re hosting the first ever tyre amnesty in May 2025 to help Clarence residents safely dispose of unwanted tyres and tackle illegal tyre dumping – the second most common material found in local dumpsites.
Residents can bring up to five (5) clean, rim-free tyres (passenger, 4WD, or light vehicle) per household to one of two drop-off events:
- Saturday, 17 May 2025 – 10 Grange Road West, Rokeby
- Saturday, 31 May 2025 – 8 Debomfords Lane, Geilston Bay
✅ Good tyres are clean and off the rim like this…

❌ Bad tyres can be full of dirt, have bolts/screws sticking out or are sitting on the rim like this…

What happens to the tyres we collect?
Tyres will be recycled in partnership with Tyrecycle, helping to keep our community clean and support a circular economy.
Your checklist:
✅ Bookings are essential
✅ Proof of Clarence residency required
✅ Tyres must be clean and without rims
Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment!
