Got an old mattress that’s seen better days?
Don’t sleep on it! Spring into action this September. Eligible Clarence households can book a free mattress collection, and we’ll make sure it’s recycled instead of ending up in landfill.
There’s no need to haul it to the tip. Simply book your collection below, place your mattress within your property boundary by your allocated collection week (not on the kerb), and we’ll take care of the rest.
- Who can book: any Clarence resident aged 18 years or over
- What can you put out: Each household can book a collection for up to two spring mattresses.
- What can’t you put out: Alternative types of mattresses won’t be accepted (i.e. Futons, foldable foam mattresses, air mattresses, water beds, hammocks, yoga mats).
- When: collections have been divided up over four (4) weeks – simply select the week which has your suburb when booking.
We’ve partnered with Southern Waste Solutions and Mornington Park Waste Transfer Station to keep as much waste as possible out of landfill.
How it works
- Book your free collection (Bookings are essential and places are limited)
- Collection will take place in your allocated collection week from 6am Monday (mattresses must be out before this time).
- Place your mattress within 5 metres of your property boundary and safe for our collection partner (ie. keep the dog away).
