At the Council Meeting on 10 August 2026, Council:

  • affirmed support for an amendment to the Clarence Local Provisions Schedule to rezone 22 Goodwins Road, Clarendon Vale from the Rural Zone and Utility Zone to General Residential Zone, Inner Residential Zone, and Open Space Zone, and an associated planning application for an 85-lot subdivision.
  • amended the List of Fees and Charges for the financial year 2026/2027 and adopted additional entries to the List of Fees and Charges for financial year 2026/2027.
  • received the Quarterly Report April to June 2026.
  • Approved changes to the structure of Council’s advisory committees and working groups.
  • nominated the Manager Compliance and Enforcement, Amy Boyd and Team Leader Building and Plumbing, Paul Woodcock as Permit Authorities for the City of Clarence in accordance with section 24 of the Building Act 2016 (Tas.)
  • deferred discussions to upgrade to Bayview Park, Lauderdale to a future Councillor workshop.
  • acknowledged there is an environmental and public health problem with storm water inundation of the sewer system over the walking track into Geilston Bay and committed to playing its part in solving the problem, including collaborating with TasWater.
  • passed amendments to the No Spray Register Policy 2026.
