Bushland reserves across City of Clarence will be closed on Saturday, 10 January after a total fire ban was declared by the Tasmanian Fire Service.
The ban was put in place due to a severe weather warning with expected strong winds of up to 100 km and high fire danger ratings.
Several of our reserves will be closed to keep the public safe and reduce the risk of accidental fires, with signage at the sites indicating closure.
The following reserves will be closed:
- Pilchers Hill at Geilston Bay and Lindisfarne.
- Waverley Flora Park at Howrah and Mornington.
- Bedlam Walls at Geilston Bay.
- Mortimer Bay Coastal Reserve at Sandford.
Please stay safe over the weekend and keep up to date with all bushfire warnings and active fires at TasAlert.
