We’re looking for 2 reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controllers to join our Infrastructure and Natural Assets Group. This role plays an important role in keeping work zones safe for workers and the public by managing vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction sites, public spaces, and events.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control in line with approved plans
- Safely direct traffic using signs, hand signals, and traffic control devices
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as needed
- Maintain and care for traffic control equipment
- Follow safety procedures, complete risk assessments, and report hazards
- Support team operations, attend meetings, and assist with site decisions
- Provide clear, calm instructions to road users and pedestrians
- Work independently, manage time well, and guide others on-site when required
About you
- Hold a valid traffic control ticket, white card, and class c drivers licence
- Able to read and understand Traffic Management Plans
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and workplace safety standards
- Physically fit, with good hearing, clear vision, and ability to stand for long periods
- Strong communication, awareness, and problem-solving skills
- Must hold a National Police Check (candidate’s responsibility and must be provided before commencement)
What we offer you
- Base salary between $63,298.52 and $67,972.07 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
- Permanent/full-time
- 9-day fortnight
