We’re looking for a qualified Plumbing Inspector to join our team. This role is all about ensuring plumbing work across the municipality meets the right standards, while supporting builders, developers, and the community with expert advice and great service.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing inspections and issue Completion Certificates
  • Review ongoing wastewater maintenance and Aerated Wastewater Treatment System servicing reports and follow up/investigate as required
  • Assess plumbing permit applications for compliance
  • Investigate breaches and take appropriate action
  • Review wastewater maintenance and servicing reports
  • Provide advice to plumbers, builders, surveyors, and the public
  • Respond to property and compliance enquiries
  • Keep accurate records and maintain permit registers

About you

  • Licensed plumber with hands-on experience and a focus on compliance
  • Certificate IV in On-site Wastewater Management Systems
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused attitude
  • Organised, tech-savvy, and holds a current Driver’s Licence
  • A current National Police Check is required for this role and must be provided before commencement

What we offer you

  • Base salary between $89,760.55 and $99,774.18 pro rata will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
  • Permanent/part-time (30 hours a week)
  • Work pattern negotiable
