Be the friendly voice and face of the City of Clarence. Join our Customer Contact team and help residents, local businesses and the community get things done quickly and easily, while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of council services.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service in person, over the phone and online.
- Handle enquiries, payments, and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Support community services such as the Clarence Community Bus and Council fleet operations.
- Build positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and the community.
- Help improve customer service processes and contribute to team projects.
About you
- You’re a confident communicator who provides courteous, efficient service as the first point of contact.
- You’re organised and quick to respond, able to juggle multiple enquiries while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- You have experience handling payments, balancing cash, and completing basic financial transactions.
- You’re comfortable with everyday admin tasks – like scheduling community transport, coordinating volunteers, and managing bookings.
- You hold (or can obtain) a current National Police Check and registration to work with vulnerable people before starting.
What we offer you
- Base salary between $67,874.45 and $75,124.88 pro rata will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 13% superannuation
- Fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of continuation
- Full-time with monthly rostered day off
