Community Walk Cancelled – Mental Health Week
Due to forecasts of unpredictable and severe weather, the Mental Health Week Community Walk has been cancelled.
The safety of participants and volunteers is our top priority. While we’re disappointed the event can’t proceed, we encourage everyone to take a moment during Mental Health Week to focus on connection, wellbeing, and supporting those around you.
Mental Health Week is a national campaign held each October to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. It incorporates World Mental Health Day (10 October), with the goal of engaging communities in conversations that reduce stigma, build connection, and support positive mental health.
In 2025, we’re embracing the theme: ‘Appreciate the little things’.
Sharing a smile with a stranger. Watching a breathtaking sunset. Listening to birds in the trees. The little things may not make headlines – but they can make your day.
This event is proudly supported by Lifeline Tasmania, the Mental Health Council of Tasmania, and a range of community partners working together to promote wellbeing and reduce suicide in Clarence.
