Nexus: Totality is a meditation on balance, time, and the unseen forces that shape our world through relation rather than singularity. Rooted in the Korean principle of yin and yang (음양), the sculpture explores dualities—light and dark, order and chaos—not as opposites, but as interdependent mirrors.

Set against the backdrop of ecological crisis, the work contrasts fleeting human timescales with the vastness of geological time. One end draws from the silhouette of a kunanyi/Mount Wellington stone; the other resolves into a perfect circle, a symbol of harmony and cyclical life.

Unfolding in a slow, wave-like sequence, the sculpture invites reflection on causality and connection. As viewers move around it, form dissolves into void, front becomes back, inside becomes outside—revealing the delicate balance at the heart of all living systems.
