Two of our projects are nominees in the 2026 PIA Tasmania Awards for Planning Excellence.

The Planning Institute of Australia’s Awards for Planning Excellence recognise outstanding planning projects that show innovation and make a positive contribution to communities.

They celebrate the important role planning plays in creating better places to live, work, connect and thrive.

We’re proud to see two City of Clarence projects recognised. Both are in the running for the People’s Choice Award.

If you’d like to support us in receiving recognition for our work on these projects, voting is open now.

This is a long-term vision for the social, cultural and economic heart of Clarence. The plan looks at how we can create a more vibrant, connected, and welcoming city centre.

Developed with the community, it brings together eight precincts and sets a 20-year direction for greener public spaces, better connections, diverse housing, a thriving local economy, and places where people can come together.

  • Clarence Youth Centre Analysis

This examined the current and future needs of young people in Clarence to help inform decisions about a potential new youth centre.

It explored where a centre could be located, how young people could access it, what services and activities it could offer, and how it could best support young people’s social connections, learning and wellbeing. The findings will help guide future decisions about youth spaces in our community.

Both projects demonstrate how forward-thinking planning can help us respond to changing community needs and create a better future for Clarence.

Support our projects in the PIA People’s Choice Award vote.
