Young people aged 16 – 24 are being asked to help build and create a pop-up cultural space at Rosny Farm.

Interested in music? Building things? Events? Design? Sound and lighting? Social media?

Or maybe you’re thinking ‘this sounds interesting?’

What’s this project about?

Rosny Farm’s Tin Camp Studio brings young people together over several months to create a temporary space for youth-led events, such as live music, performances, or workshops.

It will be a space grounded in Aboriginal culture, the sharing of stories, and exploring relationship to Country.

The young people will physically design, build, and install the space at Rosny Farm, and help develop the creative program.

Participants will work with experienced artists, makers, and industry professionals, and attend workshops shaped around the interests and needs of the group, to experiment with ideas and develop skills alongside their mentors.

This project is run by Tin Camp Studios, which creates cultural and performance spaces constructed from salvaged materials, and inspired by the Aboriginal tin camps and housing of the 1950s once found on the fringes of towns across Australia.
