Planning a Clean Up Australia Day event in Clarence? We’re here to help make it easy.

Mark your calendars for Sunday 1 March 2026 and join Clean Up Australia Day! Join hundreds of thousands of volunteers taking action to protect our precious environment.

We can support your clean up by:

  • Collecting rubbish from your site after the event
  • Providing extra equipment such as bags, gloves, high-vis vests, litter grabbers and sharps containers (subject to availability)
  • Helping you choose a suitable location if your preferred site isn’t appropriate

What you need to do:

  1. Register your event on the Clean Up Australia Day website.
  2. Send us:
    • A simple site map (a screenshot from Google Maps is fine)
    • The date and start/finish times of your clean up

Once we receive this, we’ll confirm your event and let you know where rubbish should be left for collection (if requested).

Important to know:

  • Clean ups can’t take place on roads, road reserves or high-risk areas.
  • Some environmentally sensitive areas (like dunes) may not be suitable.
  • Clean Up Australia Day events are run by organisers, not council.
