Our city is home to tradies, nurses, parents, professionals, carers, volunteers and families who make our city a great place to live. We want to hear from you about what matters most so we can make Clarence a place that works even better for you. 

By taking part, you can share what you value about living in Clarence, tell us where things could be improved, and help shape services, programs and community spaces that support you.  

Plus, you’ll go in the draw to win one of ten $50 vouchers. 

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, is open to Clarence residents aged 18 and over, and all feedback is confidential.

The survey is open until 7 September.  

The winners of the vouchers will be drawn and contacted within 10 days after the survey closes. To enter the prize draw, surveys must be completed and contact details provided. 

 Competition Terms and Conditions

The Clarence City Council is running a competition prize draw for one of ten $50 vouchers for people who complete the 2025 Community Research Survey. 

Who can win:  Any person who fully completes the survey in accordance with these terms and conditions between the dates of 20 August and 7 September 2025 (inclusive) will be eligible to enter the competition to win one of ten $50 vouchers. 

How to enter:  Survey participants who provide a valid email address during the survey and who have complied with these terms and conditions will go into the draw to win a prize upon submitting the completed survey. 

The draw: Ten survey participants will be randomly selected from all survey participants upon conclusion of the survey period.  

What is the prize:  Ten survey participants will each receive one of ten $50 vouchers.  

Terms and Conditions  

This competition is being conducted by the Clarence City Council (ABN 35 264 254 198), 38 Bligh Street, Rosny Park in Tasmania (Council).  

The Competition is open from Wednesday, 20 August 2025 to Sunday, 7 September inclusive. 
Total prize value is $50.00 per winner. 

General eligibility  

Staff and family members of staff of Council are not eligible to participate in the competition. To be eligible to win a prize, winners must be a resident or ratepayer in Clarence, complete the Community Research Survey, and provide valid contact details.  

Prize draw and Notification   

The Competition prize draw will be conducted at Clarence City Council, 38 Bligh Street, Rosny Park in Tasmania within two days of the conclusion of the survey.  The draw will be conducted through a random name generator applied to the surveys lodged.  

The prize winner(s) and satisfaction of any eligibility criteria requirements that must be satisfied to win the prize will be decided by Council at its sole discretion. Council’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

The winner will be notified, using the email contact details provided at the time of registration.   

Eligibility will be checked at the time of the draw and if a person’s name is drawn and they are ineligible for any reason then they will be excluded and the prize re-drawn.  

The winner(s) must respond to the notification and confirm their address in writing in order to claim the prize.  

The prize will be sent within 5 business days of the winner validly claiming the prize.  

If the winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification being sent, any entitlement to the prize will lapse and there will be a further draw for the unclaimed prize.  

Other terms and conditions  

Council reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Council’s control.  

Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Council. 

Council is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any survey participant by any third party connected with this competition.  

No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable.  

The Prize is subject to availability and Council reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.  

All entrants release Council from any liability, cost, damage, loss or expense arising out of, or in connection with, entry into this competition.  

By entering this competition, any survey participant is indicating their acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
