What you’ll be doing
- Lead the strategic planning and delivery of Council’s open space, parks, sports precincts and recreation network.
- Deliver master planning, capital works and renewal projects that enhance community recreation spaces.
- Provide specialist advice on open space planning, recreation infrastructure and urban greening.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with government agencies, sporting organisations, community groups and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare strategic reports and advice to support decision-making by executive management and elected members.
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications in planning, landscape architecture, recreation management, sports management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in strategic open space and recreation planning and management.
- Experience delivering capital works projects, including project management and contract administration.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and supporting high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
- National Police Check Certificate dated within 6 months prior to commencement.
