We’re seeking a capable and customer-focused Rates Officer to join our Finance team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values accuracy, and takes pride in delivering reliable financial and administrative services that directly support the community.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide friendly, professional customer service in person, over the phone and in writing
- Process payments accurately, including cash, EFTPOS and cheques
- Complete front-of-house cashiering, end-of-day balancing and petty cash tasks
- Support rates and revenue activities through accurate data entry and basic reporting
- Respond to customer enquiries with care, professionalism and attention to detail
What you’ll bring
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with experience in face-to-face and phone environments
- Experience processing financial transactions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence using computer systems, managing competing priorities, and working in a busy team environment (TechnologyOne experience desirable)
- Proactive, reliable, willing to learn with great teamwork skills
- A current National Police Check (no older than six months) is required prior to commencement and must be obtained by the successful applicant
