The Cambridge Dog Park is a purpose-built, fully fenced off-lead dog park designed to provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable space for dogs and their owners.
Officially opened in July 2026, the $1.2 million facility is located on Cambridge Road as part of the Cambridge Oval precinct and is the first completed project of the Cambridge Oval Master Plan. Spanning approximately 1.5 hectares, the park offers plenty of room for dogs to run, play, explore and socialise in a secure environment.
The park features:
- Two fully fenced exercise areas, including a dedicated quiet zone for timid, older, recovering or less confident dogs.
- Large open grassed areas for off-lead exercise.
- Nature-inspired play features including logs, rocks and textured surfaces.
- A gravel training area.
- Accessible looped walking paths.
- A central meeting area with seating.
- Water refill stations for dogs.
- Shade, landscaping and more than 70 newly planted trees.
- Car parking with accessible access to the park.
The Cambridge Dog Park is designed to encourage responsible pet ownership while providing a fantastic place for dogs to exercise and for the community to connect. Whether you’re visiting with a playful puppy, an energetic companion or a more relaxed senior dog, there’s a space for everyone to enjoy.
Please note the park temporarily closes for maintenance each Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
