Our outreach program aims to connect young people and give them the tools they need to create change. We cover the entire Clarence region and have a youth centre in Rokeby.
Throughout the month, we host a range of recreational activities and pop ups across the city – mainly our thriving skate parks as well as regional and district parks.
Working directly with local schools we run alternative programs including a wood and metal workshop, arts and creativity, street art, and a Graffiti Prevention Program (GAPP). And let’s not forget about our School Holiday Program where we visit places like Redbank’s, Village Cinemas, Rockit and more.
Youth Services is informed and guided by the Youth Network Advisory Group (YNAG) – a youth leadership group of City of Clarence made up of young people aged 12 – 24. YNAG advocate on behalf of Clarence youth and facilitate games and activities through events, health and wellbeing and a series of pop ups.
Importantly, YNAG advocates for youth issues directly to Councillors on a wide range of matters and barriers associated with young people in the region. They partner with entities such as Foodbank, North Melbourne Football Club, Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT) HART Sport and Speak up Stay Chatty.

Youth events
Rosny Arvos

Rosny Arvos is a new initiative designed to enhance community safety and make Rosny a vibrant and safe space for all.
The after-school event runs every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2.30pm until 4.30pm and is located next to the Rosny Bus Mall on council lawns.
The pilot program offers free activities, snacks and chill-zones to young people, and provides a central and friendly place for them to go while they wait for their bus.
Development of the program is ongoing. If you would like to have a say on what happens at Rosny Arvos take a look at the latest survey here.
The program is being delivered in partnership with Mission Australia Youth Beat and Pulse Youth Health Services, providing on-site peer workers and mentors for young people.
It runs across the public-school Term 4, ending on 18 December 2025 and will also run across Term 1, 2026, from 5 February until 17 April. Keep an eye on the event page for updates.
