Celebrate National Science Week by discovering the unique saltmarsh environment with Conservation Volunteers Australia.
Join Senior Wetland Ecologist Bec Sheldon for a guided walk through the saltmarsh, where you’ll learn about the area’s fascinating flora and fauna, identify saltmarsh plants and spot local birdlife.
Following the walk, roll up your sleeves and help plant 50 native plants to replace weeds, creating important habitat for birds and a valuable food source for native mammals and invertebrates.
This special site, located on the land of the Mumirimina people, is home to a diverse range of saltmarsh species with significant bush tucker and bush medicine values.
