Register your attendance and book a free ticket to our Rosny session.
During Harmony Week (15–21 March), we’re hosting two free information sessions to help support migrant businesses.
If you were born overseas, speak another language at home, or have connections to different cultures and communities, you are an important part of Clarence’s business community.
Whether you’re already running a food or catering business, organising festivals and events, or planning to turn your entrepreneurial idea into reality, these sessions are for you.
We’ll share practical information, local contacts, and support available to help you start, grow and strengthen your business in Clarence.
The sessions are:
- Monday, 16 March 2025 at Howrah Community Centre from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
- Thursday, 19 March 2025 at Rosny State Library from 10:00am – 11.30am.
Topics include:
- Getting started with your business.
- Organising events.
- Permanent and temporary food permits.
- How to register a commercial kitchen.
- Hiring council-owned venues and facilities.
- Where to get help with taxation basics, including invoicing.
- Business support and development.

Council officers will be available to answer your questions, including officers from our Environmental Health, Economic Development and City Culture (Arts and Events) teams.
Migrant business support organisations Migrant Talent Connector and Many Rivers will also be offering support.
Please note language help will be available if needed.
