We are looking for 2 people to help look after our local parks, sportsgrounds and public spaces. This job is hands-on and outdoors, working with a team to keep these areas clean, safe and tidy.

Key responsibilities

  • Mow lawns, cut grass and weeds, and clean up rubbish.
  • Look after plants, trees and garden areas.
  • Help with small landscaping jobs.
  • Clean toilets and change rooms at sports grounds.
  • Check parks and report any damage or safety problems.
  • Use tools and machines like mowers, brush cutters and tractors.
  • Follow work plans and complete jobs on time.

About you

  • Have done similar outdoor or maintenance work before.
  • Can safely use tools and machines (like mowers and brush cutters).
  • Can work well with others and follow instructions.
  • Understand basic safety rules at work.
  • Have a current driver’s licence
  • Have a National Police Check Certificate
  • Have a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania)

What we offer you

  • Base salary between $63,298.52 and $67,972.07 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Fortnightly rostered day off
