We are looking for 2 people to help look after our local parks, sportsgrounds and public spaces. This job is hands-on and outdoors, working with a team to keep these areas clean, safe and tidy.
Key responsibilities
- Mow lawns, cut grass and weeds, and clean up rubbish.
- Look after plants, trees and garden areas.
- Help with small landscaping jobs.
- Clean toilets and change rooms at sports grounds.
- Check parks and report any damage or safety problems.
- Use tools and machines like mowers, brush cutters and tractors.
- Follow work plans and complete jobs on time.
About you
- Have done similar outdoor or maintenance work before.
- Can safely use tools and machines (like mowers and brush cutters).
- Can work well with others and follow instructions.
- Understand basic safety rules at work.
- Have a current driver’s licence
- Have a National Police Check Certificate
- Have a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania)
What we offer you
- Base salary between $63,298.52 and $67,972.07 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
- Permanent, full-time
- Fortnightly rostered day off
