Please be advised that council will be undertaking road reconstruction works on Amelia Street, Lindisfarne (between Lincoln Street and Derwent Avenue) and Derwent Avenue, Lindisfarne (Between Wellington Road and Oliver Avenue).
Works are expected to commence on today, Monday 15 August 2022, weather permitting, and are anticipated to take 10 weeks to complete.
There will be temporary road closures for both sites to facilitate the work. We anticipate this to occur between 5-10 days, and the road will be opened to traffic at the end each business day.
A detour for general public vehicles will be available via Lincoln Street and traffic management will be in place. Temporary bus routes will also be implemented to facilitate the road closure.
Local resident access will be maintained throughout the works and motorists and residents are asked to please observe signage and speed limits, and to take extra care when travelling through the construction area.
