School Immunisation

School immunisation programs help protect young people in Tasmania contributing to the protection of all Tasmanians.  The program is easily accessible and currently free for Grade 7 students only.

Information and consent form/s are distributed to students through their school at the beginning of each school year.  Parents are requested to read the information, sign the consent form and return it to the school by the due date.

If you have returned the relevant forms to the school and your child is absent on the day vaccination is done, a letter will be sent to the parent/guardian inviting them to attend an immunisation clinic or visit your GP.

Please note if catch-up vaccines are required outside of the recommended schedule, please contact Council for further information.

Further information can be found at:

Other vaccines

Please bring correct amount - no change or eftpos/credit card facilities available. It is currently free for pregnant women and given in the third trimester (preferably between 28 -32 weeks).
