Glebe Hill Village will be located at 30 Pass Road, a 2.35ha corner site with frontage to both South Arm Highway and Pass Road.

The proposed development includes a supermarket with a floor area of 3,545m2, as well as retail and food outlets, a bottle shop, bank and mall area. There will be a large, well landscaped car park and loading area incorporated into the development and associated signage.

The site is part of a six lot commercial subdivision which was approved by Council in May this year. It follows an extensive rezoning process undertaken in recent years and economic studies that verified the need for additional neighbourhood retail premises for this part of the city.

“The proposed shopping centre will provide a demonstrable benefit to a growing city such as ours, particularly for residents of Rokeby, Clarendon Vale and Glebe Hill,” Mayor of Clarence, Alderman Doug Chipman said.

A copy of the report and the proposed plans are included in the Council’s Planning Authority meeting agenda held on 21 November 2016 and are available from the following link: www.ccc.tas.gov.au/agendas.
