Council has allocated funds for the replacement of the irrigation system at Kangaroo Bay Oval. The project involves replacing the existing failed irrigation system by excavating trenches within the oval playing surface to install the new system.
The planned works are forecast to start this week, weather dependent. It is anticipated the works will take six weeks to complete pending favourable weather conditions with the oval closed for public use until October to allow for grass seed germination and establishment.
During the works, the oval will be closed and site security fencing will be erected around the entire oval perimeter (see map below).
We ask pedestrians and cyclists to please observe signage and take extra care when travelling near the works area.
