The Dog’s Day Out features plenty of entertainment, demonstrations and activities for the whole family.

This year’s event includes dog agility courses, veterinarians on site, delicious doggy treats, food and information stalls for the family, face painting, craft activities and the hard fought ‘best on day’ competition.

There will also be working dog presentations, and an opportunity to view the After Hours Veterinary Emergency Centre’s pet ambulance.

A major focus for the Dog’s Day Out is the annual Poochibald art competition.

The Poochibald provides an opportunity for artists of all ages to unleash their creativity and submit a painting, drawing or print of a dog they own, a famous dog or a dog that exists in one’s imagination.

The Dog’s Day Out will be held Sunday 7 October from 11am-3pm at Rosny Farm. Entry is free.

The Poochibald Art Prize will be on show at the Schoolhouse Gallery (Rosny Farm) from 29 September to 8 October (Wednesday – Sunday 11am-5pm).
