Information from the Department of State Growth regarding East Derwent – Tasman Highway Interchange Improvements project:
New ramps opening…
The Sorell/Airport ramp and new Rosny dedicated lane from the East Derwent Highway are planned to open on the night of Thursday 7 April 2016 (weather permitting).
Bridge clearance height for the new Sorell/Airport ramp is 5.1 metres. Vehicles higher than this will need to detour via Rosny/Bellerive as usual.
Please pay attention to new directional signs and select the correct exit for your destination. Electronic signage in the area will give advance notice of when the changes will come into place.
The area will still be a roadworks site for a few weeks after traffic is on the new ramps with reduced speed and traffic management in the area until full project completion planned for early May.
