Clarence City Council is continuing to review and consider the development application (DA) for the proposed Rosny Hill development.
In order to properly review and consider the large number of representations received the DA report will not be formally presented to council until January 2020. It is anticipated that the special council meeting will be on or around 20 January 2020. Once the date is confirmed, the special council meeting will be advertised through the normal channels.
Clarence City Council General Manager, Ian Nelson, said that the proposed Rosny Hill development is an important strategic project for our city and of significant interest to our community. We want to be clear about the timeframe for formal consideration of the DA by council, and with Christmas approaching clearly indicate that a decision will not occur before Christmas or when many people are on holidays in early January.
Clarence City Council is considering a proposal from Hunter Development Corporation for a 60-room hotel, with a hospitality hub and nature experiences.
