Council Offices
The Council Offices will close at 2.30pm (payments to cashiers will be accepted until 2.00pm) on Friday 21 December and will be closed on the following days:
- Monday, 24 December 2018
- Tuesday, 25 December 2018
- Wednesday, 26 December 2018; and
- Tuesday, 1 January 2019.
Other days will be as per normal hours (8.30am to 5.15pm).
Mornington Depot
The Mornington Depot will close at 12.00pm on Friday 21 December and will be closed on the following days:
- Monday, 24 December 2018
- Tuesday, 25 December 2018
- Wednesday, 26 December 2018; and
- Tuesday, 1 January 2019.
Other days will be as per normal hours (7.30am to 4.30pm).

Dog and Animal Control
For urgent complaints outside normal office hours, please ring the after-hours number 03 6217 9700.
Mornington Waste Transfer Station
The Mornington Waste Transfer Station will close at 4.00pm on Monday 24 December and will be closed on Christmas Day. The station will be open from 8.30am until 4.00pm on Wednesday 26 December and New Year’s Day.

Second Chance Re-use Shop
The Second Chance Re-use shop will be open from 9.00am until 4.00pm on Monday 24 December and will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Other days will be as per normal operating hours.
Collection of Garbage, Recyclables and Greenwaste
No collection of garbage, recyclables or greenwaste will occur on Christmas Day. For those residents who would normally have garbage, recyclables and greenwaste collected on Tuesday 25 December, collections will instead be undertaken on Sunday 23 December. Collections on all other days over the Christmas/New Year period will remain unchanged.
Please ensure that bins are placed out for collection no later than 6.00am on collection day.
Clarence Aquatic Centre
The centre will be closed on Christmas Day.
Rosny Child Care Centre
The centre will be closed from 5.30pm Friday 21 December and reopen at 7.30am on Monday 7 January 2019.
Children’s Services – Alma Street (Family Day Care, Outside School Hours Care and Holiday Care)
The Children’s Services office will close at 2.30pm on Friday, 21 December 2018 and re open at 9.00am on Wednesday 2 January 2019. The school holiday programme will operate at Lindisfarne from 8.00am to 6.00pm weekdays from Wednesday 2 January 2019 through to Friday 1 February 2019 (closed Australia Day Public Holiday).
Clarence Community Volunteer Service
The Volunteer Service will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 21 December 2018 to Monday 7 January 2019 inclusive.
Schoolhouse Gallery and Rosny Farm
The Schoolhouse Gallery and Rosny Farm will be closed from Monday 24 December 2018 to Tuesday 1 January 2019 inclusive and will reopen at 11.00am on Wednesday 2 January 2019. The complex will then resume normal operating hours which are Wednesday to Sunday 11.00am to 5.00pm.
Youth Services
The Youth Services office will close at 2.00pm on Friday 21 December 2018 and will reopen on Wednesday 2 January 2019.
