City events
Among the roles of Council detailed under the Mayoral and Official Events is a commitment to conduct festivals and community events that promote the culture and social well-being of the city.
Council undertakes this role in two ways:
- Organising and managing public events and festivals, sometimes in association with community groups
- Assisting community groups in the organisation and management of events or festivals usually conducted on an annual basis
Events for which Council accepts the organisational and management role include:
- Carols by Candlelight in Clarence
- City of Clarence Australia Day Festival
- Clarence Jazz Festival
- Clarence Seafarers Festival - incorporating the Bellerive Regatta
Many of the events are assisted by Council through direct sponsorship and are included in the Events calendar.
For more information about events in Clarence or how to get support for an event or festival, contact the Events Coordinator at Clarence City Council.
Attention temporary food vendors
A database of temporary food outlets for local events, festivals and fairs is currently being updated.
The database will be used to assist in planning Council events and be available to community groups who wish to conduct local events.
If you offer a professional product in a clean and well presented temporary food van or stand, please send details of your business in writing to:
