Clarence City Council is calling for nominations for the 2010 Australia Day Citizen's Awards to acknowledge those residents who have made an outstanding contribution to the Clarence community.
The Citizen's Awards are an important part of the Australia Day celebrations on the Bellerive Boardwalk.
The Mayor of Clarence, Alderman Jock Campbell said that the Awards are one of the few ways the community as a whole can hear about their fellow residents have who been assisting others in the community.
"Every year the Awards Committee read over nominations containing amazing and encouraging records of service by people in all walks of life."
"We are continually impressed by the generosity and hard work put in by so many Clarence residents to help others and make our community an even better place to live," Alderman Campbell said.
"I encourage Clarence residents to take the opportunity the Awards provide to recognise those in the community who make such a positive difference."
If you know of someone who you think should be acknowledged for their contribution, nominations are now open for the 2010 Australia Day Citizen's Awards.
Forms are available from Clarence City Council by phoning 6245 8651, or download a form.
