River ferry services

Ferry operators offer a range of new and historic ferry vessels to experience a leisurely cruise on Australia's most picturesque harbour. Longer cruises to the D'entrecasteaux Channel and up river to the Cadbury Chocolate Factory are also available. Keep an eye out for the former steamer "SS Cartela", that has been plying the waters of the Derwent since she was built at Battery Point slipyards in 1912. Bellerive Hobart commuter operated by Hobart Water Taxis departs Bellerive at 8.00 am, 8.30 am and 5.15 pm.

The commuter departs Hobart at 8.15 am, 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm.

Saturdays there is a 9.00 am departure from Bellerive for the Salamanca Market, returns are by request.
