Bellerive Boardwalk Concert - A Very Bing White Christmas

While we’ll never have a fairy tale white Christmas in Australia, this year Clarence’s biggest carols event is channeling the Christmas spirit of yore from the northern hemisphere.

Bing Crosby (Jeff Michel) and Rosemary Clooney (Kim Sellers) will bring the Bellerive Boardwalk stage back to the era of Christmas specials with music from the Hollywood classic, ‘White Christmas’.

The Mayor of Clarence, Alderman Doug Chipman said, “Christmas is a special time that echoes in all of our histories.

“It’s a time for relaxation and reflection, for singing in community and for being with friends and family. It’s also a time for fun and we are planning to have fun with the snow and the Christmas songs of a bygone era that we usually avoid in the name of our summer Christmas.”

With the voices of the Lincoln Singers and Men in Black Choirs, Conductor Margot Lampkin will lead the Clarence City Stage Band through a selection of sing-along favourites with a few modern twists for younger ears too.

With a kiosk and barbecue by the Bellerive Primary School and cocoa (or coffee for the grown-ups), you’ll be in the spirit to sing out and share the Christmas cheer.

Of course Santa is coming, he always comes to the Boardwalk but he’s coming early this year, so don’t be late to meet him!

Carols by Candlelight on the Bellerive Boardwalk will be held on Sunday 6 December 2015 from 7-9pm.
