Clarence City Council has accepted a tender for the construction of the signalised intersection at Alma Street and Cambridge Road, Rosny Park. The intersection will provide improved access to and from Kangaroo Bay to support Council’s adopted Kangaroo Bay Urban Design Plan.

Works to fully signalise the Rosny Hill Road Bligh Street intersection and to realign Kangaroo Bay Drive are well underway. The Alma Street intersection works will commence when the Bligh Street and Rosny Hill Road intersection works are completed to reduce roadwork delays as much as possible.

The Alma Street intersection works include signalisation of the intersection, reconstruction of sections of Cambridge Road, relocation of a water main, concrete bridging slabs to protect existing communication cables, and adjustments to the Corpus Christi Church boundary retaining wall to accommodate the road alignment.

Works will commence in May and are expected to be completed in September. Interested residents can see plans for the intersection by visiting www.ccc.tas.gov.au/kangaroobay
