Clarence City Council is continuing to implement the Victoria Esplanade and Kangaroo Bluff Landscape Plan by formalising the gravel carpark adjacent to the Old Regatta Pavilion, north of the King Street intersection.

The works are part of the Landscape Plan that identifies a number of projects aimed to enhance the landscape for the section of foreshore leading to and including Bellerive Beach.

The scope of the work involves the removal of some existing shrubs, kerb construction, subsoil drainage and the relocation of a memorial stone. Council will also construct a drain, which is designed to manage and improve the quality of stormwater going into the River Derwent from the car park. The works are expected to commence in May and be completed by July.
