Electronic Lodgement of Building and Plumbing Applications

From 14 November 2011 Clarence City Council will accept applications for building, plumbing and special plumbing permits in PDF format through our new electronic lodgement process.

An electronic application should contain all of the relevant documents, plans, certificates and application forms.

You may provide your electronic application by email, CD or DVD but please note we will not accept applications on USB devices. 

Council will continue to accept applications in a physical format for an interim period. In such cases 1 paper copy of all the relevant documents, plans, certificates and application forms should be submitted.  We will scan these documents and return the originals unmarked to the applicant.  (Returned documents will not form part of any approval or permit). 

Once the application is processed you will receive your Building and Plumbing permit and endorsed plans by email or as a CD.

Council will not normally provide a stamped hard copy of the approval permit or plans.  However, should you require a stamped hard copy, this may be arranged but will incur an additional cost. Please let our staff know when you lodge your application if you require a hard copy.
