The City of Clarence has a long and proud history of volunteering in the community.
Council's Community Directory lists well over 400 local community groups and organisations, many of them providing services and activities solely due to the engagement of volunteers e.g. service clubs, sporting organisations, community groups and centres to name but a few.
Many of Council's programs and activities would not be able to function without the support of a large volunteer base e.g. special committees of Council, Clarence Community Volunteer Service (frail aged and young people with disabilities), land and coast care groups, graffiti removal.
Clarence Volunteer Graffiti Removal Team
Established in April 2008, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services Youth Justice, young people and local community residents, the volunteer program has continued to grow and have an impact in helping to reduce illegal graffiti vandalism on Council property. For more information about the program, and how to volunteer, contact 6245 8780.
