Forthcoming Roadworks Asphalt Re-surfacing

Council has engaged a contractor to undertake asphalt resurfacing works in Clarence.

 The area and road sections include the following:

  • Clarence Street, Bellerive - from Cambridge Road to Scott Street;
  • Rosny Hill Road, Rosny - City bound carriageway from Bligh Street to Montagu Bay Slip Road;
  • Cambridge Road, Mornington - South Arm Highway to Pass Road;
  • new car park -adjacent to Rosny College; and
  • Council Chamber Access Road, Rosny Park -Bligh Street to car park.

The works in Rosny Hill Road will be undertaken at night to minimise the disruption to the traffic and they are anticipated to take 3-4 nights depending on the weather conditions.

The details of each street section and resident notice will be distributed prior to work commencing.  The works will commence on 20 April 2017 from Clarence Street.  All these roads are expected to be completed by the end of May 2017 if weather permits.

The work site will be under traffic management and temporary traffic detours may be used. Minor delays may occur while the works are in progress.  Variable message boards will be installed on the major roads and traffic management information will also be located below.

Council seeks the co-operation of motorists and pedestrians in exercising caution and observing signs when in the area.
